Shoes n clothes

Yesterday I brought Asher's new shoes to see if they fit. My 7 year old little man wears a size 10 toddler perfectly. The day I spring him from the orphanage he will be going with us to the adoption ceremony.

For those who've been here before me, there is a new international law that says any child over age 7 must be fingerprinted in order to get a passport. The great thing for us is this gets Asher out of the orphanage one day earlier than expected. Anyway, all that was to say I have one outfit that I think will fit him. Size 4T. The pants might be a little long, but his caregiver showed me the tag on his shirt. It's a Children's Place shirt! LOL It has been washed about 50,000 times I'm sure. Good thing the only clothes I have to fit him are a bit on the nicer side for his special day!

  1. We had to get Vlado fingerprinted when we got his passport. I spent so much time praying that day because he was FREAKED OUT! If you have a chance, practice with him rolling his fingers over some kind of light thing. The little bit of heat from it scared Vlado and he did not want to do it, but when we practiced at the apartment (we weren't sure if we would have to do it again when we picked up his passport) we rolled his finger over a play flashlight and he became a pro. But then, of course, we never had to do it again. :)

  3. Tammy, this is a new requirement I think sometime in the last 3-4 months.

  4. I think they fingerprinted Vlado because the town he was from had never done an international adoption so everything was very much by the book. Or maybe they were just messing with us. :)

  5. Sofija was on five, but she had to be fingerprinted for her passport. It was a nightmare! It took three adults to get the job done. I had a ton of TCP clothes that we dropped off in May. I wonder if Asher is wearing something we brought with us?.
I keep looking to see if I have pictures of him from last year or from May. I know that I saw him and picked him up in May, but I haven't been able to find any pictures yet.
