Seriously?

Our mail comes late in the day. Dean and I left for the afternoon/evening, and didn't arrive home until 10:00. Dean pulled the mail out of the box, and what's in it? Our I-171h!!! The document I've been waiting for from USCIS! You know, the one they supposedly didn't mail until yesterday? (The federal holiday when there WAS no mail?)

I'm not complaining! Really, I'm not! I'm thrilled this is here, because now I'm not worried about it. I just don't get how they can say so many different things when clearly NONE of them was accurate. That is just craziness.

But we now all the documents we need are in our hands, or where they're supposed to be. God is SO GOOD!

  3. Just b/c I've seen this happen before, please, please call the embassy over there before you go to verify they have indeed received it. And yep, they will indeed get very very snarky if they have to do more work. LOL. BTW, we're still working on our USCIS mess as well. you are not alone. SO happy though that you received it and are getting that much closer to leaving to get your son. Wouldn't be an adoption without a little drama, right? Good luck & may the rest of the process be as smooth as silk! Stephanie.

  4. Thank you Stephanie! I will most definitely be calling the Embassy to make sure they've received it! Looking at the calendar, they *should* have access to it via the database by the 26th (which is the night of the 25th here.) So Thanksgiving night I'll be making a call to EE! LOL Oh YAY!

  5. YEAH! Thanks for the comment on our blog about Alina. I don't think she's ever played in the snow before, she was pretty excited about it. We played outside for quite some time yesterday.
You will be in EE before you know it! I loved it there, really enjoyed our time there!
